In North Carolina, pottery runs as deep as our roots, and so does our affection for the creatures that inhabit our fields, forests, waterways, and imaginations. Clay Creatures highlights regional potters who bring these beloved forms to life through functional and decorative ceramics.
From everyday tableware to imaginative sculptures, each piece captures a distinct sense of character — whimsical, rustic, refined, heartfelt, and more. This show celebrates both tradition and innovation within North Carolina’s rich clay heritage while honoring the enduring connection between people, creatures, and the art of clay.
