Newly Renovated Exhibit - Now Open to the Public

The Pottery Center is happy to announce that ur newly renovated North Carolina's Clay Stories, Past & Present exhibit is officially open to the public.
This new exhibit, which has an orientation video, covers Native American & Colonoware, Utilitarian Earthenware, Utilitarian Stoneware, Transitional Ware, Art Pottery, Face Jugs & Folk Art, Pottery Schools, and Contemporary Potters. In addition to great pottery, there are large, digital interactive touchscreens, one for each of the topics above.
There is also a Creation Process section and a wall panel discussing black potters' history in North Carolina. Two additional large-screen digital interactive screens allow visitors to filter the pottery on display by clay type, glaze type, firing method, and geography. Designed to allow visitors a more interactive experience through multiple touchscreen kiosks, the exhibit's educational content is geared towards high-school age and adult audiences.
