Pottery workshop for teachers viewed as classroom tool

SANFORD — Five Lee County art teachers walked away from a three-day pottery workshop in Seagrove with new information and techniques to share with students next school year, Lee County High School art teacher Jody Stouffer said.

Stouffer, Laura Newman of Southern Lee High School, Micki Saad of West Lee Middle School, Holly Brower of J.R. Ingram Elementary School and Michelle Holt of Tramway Elementary School were selected to represent Lee County last week at the “Pottery Making in Central N.C.” workshop, sponsored by the North Carolina Pottery Center.
